Concept:

This was a school assignment that me and my project team worked on. We wanted to create something documentary, deep, instructive and exciting. It’s a fictional project and we chose BBC as the sender of the program because we thought that it would fit BBC’s way of approaching their viewers. The assignment was about creating a fitting opening sequence to a program that combined sound and vision.

What is sound to you? Sounds can mean all sorts of different things to all of us. We are surrounded by sounds and noises all the time. Even when it seems quiet, there will likely still be noises in the background. Sounds can have different kinds of meanings to us, according to who we are and what we know. A sound can be nostalgic, enjoyable, touching, scary, nerve racking, communicative, frustrating and much more. Sounds stimulates out brains in various ways. Sounds affect our lives more than we actually realise. And some people don’t have the sense of hearing at all. What is sound to different kinds of people? What is sound to you?
