This school project was about creating an animation that had to start with a circle, and make the movements match a certain music sequence. It was required to use colors that followed the rules of Johannes Itten’s contrasts.
The message behind the animation is that there is always a rainbow at the end of every storm (I cri evertim).

The Subtle Ones – Benjamin Rice
I wanted to create a simple style that visualised the look of a city with some buildings (I really love big cities and building views). I wanted the buildings to move like a music volume bar, to the background sound. It was interesting to work this way and see where this kind of concept with the circle in the beginning and Johannes Itten’s contrast rules, would take me. It was also the first time I met After Effects. We fell in love but our love is complicated at times (He can be a bit moody and confusing at times, but we’re working on it).
